Join us and Kintsugi master Iku Nishikawa for an afternoon of repairing and re-creating. Learn the Japanese art of Kintsugi and turn broken objects into new, even more unique and special items by fixing with epoxy and finish with Urushi, traditional Japanese resin, and brass powder. Bring your own broken items or choose from a range of Pophams Home ceramics which unfortunately have previously been broken.
Suitable for beginners (over 18s only). All materials will be provided.
*PLEASE NOTE: You can bring your own ceramic or select from our collected pieces. If you bring your own piece it must only have one break. This method of Kintsugi is not food safe.
**Iku will sell also be selling a Kintsugi kit at the workshop. Please email Iku kintsugioxford.iku@gmail.com to pre-order one.
A selection of Pophams pastries, tea & coffee will be waiting for you to start the session!
There are two sessions each with 12 spaces available on Saturday 22nd February 11 - 1 pm and 2 - 4pm at our Pophams Home workshop space next to Pophams Bakery, 197 Richmond Road, E8 3NJ
